More than 5000 additional checks for English, German, French, Spanish, and Dutch. Statistical detection of typos for English, German, French, and Spanish. No local server setup is required. Data are sent externally but not saved on an external server. A paid subscription is required.

LanguageTool Public (cloud)

Performance limited (40 segments per 60 seconds). Free service. No local server setup is required. Data are sent externally but not saved on an external server. No subscription is required.

It is an excellent way to familiarize yourself with the capabilities of the LanguageTool without having to set up a local server.

LanguageTool Local (user PC)

Best performance. Free service. The local server setup is required (it does not take more than a few clicks). Data are not sent to an external server. Allows you to add and use custom rules for error detection.
